日本職棒中日龍隊本季戰績不佳，除了高木守道總教練引咎辭職外，球團也想再次重振球隊氣氛，也有可能會讓老將谷繁元信出馬擔任總教練。

由於中日龍隊本季拿到第4名，最後輪落到B級球隊的地位，球團決心再次改革，除了換掉總教練外，預計將邀請森繁和(前中日龍隊教練)擔任首席教練輔佐。

25年以來在職棒界打滾的谷繁(42歲)，經驗豐富，被認為是未來總教練後繼人選，主要就是他擁有指導球員的特性。

原本中日龍隊老闆白井文吾想尋找前「總仔」落合博滿回來，畢竟在他帶領之下，球隊在8年內拿到4次聯盟冠軍，還有幫球隊拿到日本一的榮耀，不過連同落合在內的人事費用太高，也意外抖出2011年球團不跟他續約的最大原因。

中日龍球團社長坂井克彦之前才說10月會跟白井討論此事，並且想提出由立浪和義擔任，不過立浪從2009年引退以來對於球團事務不是很精通，因此將再次決定人選。

立浪本屆WBC經典賽擔任日本隊打擊教練，聲望很高，不過要擔任職棒隊總教練，可不是一件輕鬆的事。 (接下一頁)
