英國官方今日公布的資料顯示，截至 10 月為止的 1 季，失業率降至 7.4%，創 2009 年 4 月以來新低。英國央行 (BOE) 官員表示，他們會考慮升息。

《彭博社》報導，英國國家統計局 (Office for National Statistics) 今日表示，相較於5月至7月 7.6%的失業率，本次公布的數據已降至 7.4%。

本次公布的失業率數據，可能將促使英國央行比預期中提早升息。英國央行總裁 Mark Carney 日前指出，除非失業率降至 7%以下，否則絕對不會輕易升息

前英國央行官員 Rob Wood 認為，本次的失業率數字恐促使央行提早升息，因為照這樣的步調下去，預估在明年中左右就可達 7%失業率門檻，他說：「可見英國經濟復甦有多迅速。」
