［大家說英語］的用句都很簡單，速度也較正常的講話慢很多，重要的內容也會一再地重複，而且電視上還打出字幕，你如果真的想學好英文，就要忍住不看字幕和課本，利用當時的教學情境和老師的肢體語言，去猜老師話語的意思，猜對的頻率會因為你的經驗而日漸提高，這樣你才能習慣英語的［連音］和［省略］現象，學會［聽］英語。通常第二年的教材還是會保持同樣的程度，所以根據我的經驗，認真聽兩年，就可進階［空中英語教室］了。老師們教學時的對話，有些是隨講機應變的，不會有劇本給你參考的。真的通通都印出來，你又會有眼睛看文字時，一直跟不上讀音的困擾，因為你會發現老師講的音的和看到的文字好像不完全一樣。
