2012年陸軍在屏東保力山舉行聯勇操演時，當時擔任通訊兵的楊喬琳因為一雙大眼睛、長相甜美接受媒體訪問，而被稱為「聯勇之花」。不過，國防部近期公布的楊喬琳到高中職招募新兵的照片中，她臉明顯胖了一圈，讓網友失望大喊：「女神崩壞！」

根據TVBS新聞台報導，2012年6月8日，陸軍在屏東恒春保力山三軍聯訓基地舉行年度「聯勇操演」，在實彈炮火中，通訊兵楊喬琳因為亮眼外型，鋒頭壓過軍方原定安排受訪的其他同袍。她因此被封為「聯勇之花」，正因為亮眼外型楊喬琳之後被調到陸軍樂隊幫忙募兵。

不過，國防部近期公布的募兵照片中，楊喬琳臉蛋卻明顯圓了一圈，網友戲稱「軍中伙食太好，讓女神都崩壞了！」

楊喬琳的同袍則力挺她，表示她還是很漂亮。純粹是因為拍攝角度問題，才讓她臉蛋看起來比較圓潤。
