彭博報導，新聞集團（NewsCorp. ）因由印刷型態轉換至數位不易，在成為獨立企業滿1年後，上季獲利表現落後分析師預期。

新聞集團公布，去除部分項目，上會計年度第4季每股獲利0.01美元，相較彭博彙整分析師平均估計的每股獲利0.03美元。

去年自媒體大亨梅鐸（Rupert Murdoch）娛樂事業分拆出來的新聞集團第4季營收下滑3.1%至21.9億美元。分析師估計中值為21.4億美元。

新聞集團第4季淨利1300萬美元或每股0.02美元，上年同期虧損11.2億美元或每股1.94美元。

在廣告由印刷媒體轉向數位媒體下，新聞集團在美發行華爾街日報（Wall Street Journal）和紐約郵報（New York Post）的新聞部門持續面臨難題。該部門廣告營收疲弱，第4季銷售下滑6.3%至15.6億美元。
