澳洲第3季(7-9月)企業投資意外攀升，主要係因礦業和製造商支出增加，澳元亦因此向上走高。

澳洲統計局今(28)日表示，該國第3季資本支出季增3.6%，優於遭到下修的第2季(4-6月)季增率1.6%。

此前，接受《彭博社》(Bloomberg)調查的20位經濟學家平均預期為季減1.2%。

澳洲企業預測，在明(2014)年6月底為止的財年裡，投資金額將達1668億澳元(1520億美元)，較3個月前估值高出3.2%。2013-14財年礦業投資金額預計將達1045億澳元，高於3個月前的1034億澳元。

澳洲第3季在房屋建築及結構物上的支出亦增加6.3%，但企業在新工廠和設備上的投資減少1.5%。

雪梨時間11：37，澳元兌美元匯率自上述報告公布前的90.80美分升值至91.19美分。
